Grading results from March 21st

Sunday, March 21st was an awesome day full of excitment, anticipation and possibly a few nerves which were well controlled and dealt with, it seems. The sports hall at The Priory School in Banstead was converted to a professional TaeKwon-Do DoJang ready for grading time with Mr Russell Dennis (6th Dan, Examiner), Mr James Davis (3rd Dan, Instructor) and Mr Colin Potter (1st Dan, Instructor) appearing in official capacity. It was great to see all Banstead students having a short practice session before the grading started then after an official line up, The Oath, Tenets and an encouraging speech by Mr Dennis the grading got underway.

Everyone put in a good performance when it was their turn and it was good to hear that everyone got all their theory questions correct too. For those that stayed in the training hall to see the more senior grades take part you would have seen a young girl, aged 8, grading for her black tags – I am pleased to say that she did indeed pass her grading and now works towards her 1st Degree Black Belt.

The Tiny TKD’ers (4 – 6 year olds, Wednesdays 6 – 6:30pm) had a small grading of their own on Wednesday March 24th. They all behaved very well and performed excellently.
