Great News, 2 Grading Passes!

There were two students from the Senior TKD class who had been attending every class possible since they started training with us in September and October 2010, respectively, and this attendance has accelerated their learning and physical development.

Both Katie Light and Andy Palacpac have made a huge effort in learning their material, training hard in class, practising out of class and asking questions when they want extra answers. This has shone through and in early December it was clear that they both would be ready for a December grading having fulfilled the improvement requirements and necessary attendance record.

No other students were able to grade so we arranged to travel to Redhill to Mr Dennis’s full time Martial Arts gym and hold a small grading on December 23rd 2010. After a quick practice Mr Dennis started the grading and put Katie and Andy through their paces.

As a Christmas bonus we issued the results immediately following the grading and I am very pleased to say they both passed with flying colours:

• Katie Light passed to 8th Kup – Yellow Belt
• Anda Palacpac passed to 9th Kup – Yellow Tags

Congratulations to them both, they are a great example of what can be achieved in a short space of time simply by regular attendance and proper practice. I hope they’re an inspiration to others.
