Banstead TKD Xmas Fayre Demo
December 11th 2010 was the date the Priory School in Banstead held their Christmas Fayre. We had been invited back to perform another exciting TaeKwon-Do Demonstration for them, we did a great job and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves.
I would like to say a really BIG THANK YOU to all those that came to perform (and Parents who turned out in support) in the display.
The demonstration was well received by the school and I heard a lot of people talking about us afterwards, in a good way, so I think it is fair to say we certainly put on a good show – next year we’ll be even better. It was our second year and I’m pretty sure we’re booked year on year now. More importantly, I am so proud of you all by turning out and performing your TaeKwon-Do in front of strangers. It takes a lot of confidence to get up on front of people and do something like this, whether that’s giving a presentation at work, a speech at school assembly or going for a job interview. You all showed solid character right from the start all the way through to the end.
For the Tiny TKD’ers, Juniors and parents of these the display gave you a chance to see what grown up TKD is like and I hope you were all pleased with what you saw – it really is an all involving martial art at Banstead TaeKwon-Do. You got to see some advanced patterns, some step-sparring, some self defence techniques, defence against weapon attacks, competition style sparring, and focus/accuracy/power illustrated in board breaking with a Reverse Turning Kick Air Break and a Knife Hand Side Strike (Well done to Sam for doing this as well).
