Banstead TaeKwon-Do At Greenacre School

New TaeKwon-Do Classes at Greenacre School in Banstead

Just before the Easter Holidays (2011) I was approached by Greenacre School about the possibility of starting an afterschool Martial Arts club, Martial Arts had been an activity the girls had been asking the school to provide for a while.
After an initial meeting to discuss the timings I suggested that we’d perform a demonstration at school assembly to show off how much fun TaeKwon-Do is for youngsters and to show what great stuff you can with your arms and legs. Master Russell Dennis (7th Dan), our grading examiner, and Sophie Alexander (1st Dan, attends Greenacre senior school) were only too happy to show off their skills with me at assembly.
The assembly demonstration was very well received, there were many laughs from many interested pupils at the school. It seemed lots of those who saw the demonstration wanted to take part. So, with a few well timed flyers, and a great help from Greenacre in distributing them, we had a great response and now have an almost full class of TaeKwon-Do beginners.
This class shows great promise with very well behaved students who are picking up the basics of the Martial Art very quickly, I am sure the class will continue to flourish and grow as the girls head towards their first test of skills at the end of their school summer term.
Class Times:
The Greenacre TaeKwon-Do Banstead Classes take place on Tuesdays at 6 – 7pm and are currently for Greenacre girls and siblings only, although I would consider outside interest next term.
Any questions from anyone please let me know.
