Banstead TaeKwon-Do

Friday May 20th was an eventful night for Adult members of the Banstead TaeKwon-Do Martial Arts School – however there are very few photos to prove it, maybe that’s a good thing.

We hadn’t had a club social for a few months, the last proper one was Christmas time, so it was about time we all got together outside of the training hall, away from pressups, lunges, turning kicks, side kicks and sparring.

The intention for this night was to be a leaving do for Hazel and Sam, GF and BF, as they were to be leaving us to start a new life down in Brighton with new jobs, new flat and attending a new TaeKwon-Do school. So we said “Cheerio” to them, although it since appears that we may need to hold a “Welcome Back” social night as well. We’ll see.

After the food, any under 18′s got collected by parents, and we wandered down to the other end of the Highstreet and sample a few at the Woolpack, where we experienced (as bystanders) the perils of being bar staff when some middleaged office worker decides that after a days golfing / drinking it is a good idea to become violent after spilling his own drink. Still, it was swiftly dealt with and provided a good conversation topic and also helped Andy escape for an early night to attend the fictional family wedding the following day.

Then, after a trip down the high street on a bus and a walk back up, Sam The Fixer continued to play Host and treated us to the hospitality he reserves for only his best guests.

A great night had by one and all – thanks to all members who attended and made for a great evening.
