What Goes on? The youngest children’s TaeKwon-Do classes are structured very differently from the juniors and adults classes. I take children from between ages 4 & 6 years old and the classes only last 30 minutes and are focussed more on learning coordination of their body and limbs; listening to instructions; communication, confidence building and making friendships.

We concentrate on gross motor skill development for athletic movement and co-ordination. There is a strong emphasis on group activity and learning core basics of Martial Arts, both Physical and Mental.

These children take part in demonstrations if they wish too but learn the basics of Martial Arts in an almost non-contact way. That means that they don’t spar each other, we wait until they’re about 7 for that.
